KPSEA examination kicks off in Makueni County


The Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) kicked off well in Makueni County with a total of 25,152 candidates sitting for the examinations.

Among the candidates who will sit for the examinations include 13,183 boys and 11,969 girls who will sit from 866 centres public and 109 private schools across the county.

The candidates sit for the exams that are scheduled to take place from October 28 to 30, 2024 from the 10 sub counties in Makueni.

Speaking during the opening of the examination container outside the County Commissioners offices, Makueni Subcounty Director of Education Onduso Magara said a total of 3,137 candidates including 1,865 girls and 1,272 boys respectively.

While saying the Subcounty has another container in Mukuyuni, Magara said that the candidates will do the examinations from 119 centres.

Consequently, the Director called upon the Centre Managers, Supervisors and Invigilators to strictly observe time and added that there are no rains which creates a challenge at a time like
this.

‘We pray for the good health of our candidates and those of supervisors and invigilators. You are expected to keep time and hope you will get the necessary support,’ said Magara on Monday.

On his Makueni Subcounty deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Mr. Rashid Kwanya said the security will be provided and warned against any malpractices in examinations saying those found will face full force of the law.
